In pursuit of adventure in the mountains of the Sea to Sky Corridor, Brian Dorgelo moved to Whistler from a small town near Collingwood, Ontario. Brian’s father and uncle had passed down their exceptional carpentry skills, so with plenty of knowledge and perseverance Brian started his own construction company.
Renovating and framing homes in Whistler is where Dorgelo By Design started. As Whistler grew, so did Pemberton: a quiet little place where people love to ride bikes, plant a garden and raise a family. A little footprint on the map that Brian and his family call home.
As Pemberton has continued to develop, so has Dorgelo By Design. By taking on larger projects each new year, we are now specializing in residential home construction and renovations in Whistler and Pemberton.
Professional development with a focus on Passive House design and construction is key for the team at Dorgelo By Design. It’s the most effective way to keep up with continual changes in the BC building code and modern design concepts.

Every day on every work site our team strives to build our clients dream homes with ease and efficiency. That’s why we believe in investing in licensed local trades and professionals, and who we have built long lasting relationships with.
Our team stays ahead of the latest energy efficient construction practices, such as insulated concrete forms (ICF) and Passive House Design and Construction. We follow Worksafe BC guidelines, ensuring our sites follow safety best practices. Each site has a trained level 1 First Aid attendant, and a Health and Safety Supervisor who holds weekly safety meetings.

A fast-growing community such as Pemberton, provides many opportunities to support the organizations that make where we live so amazing. We are proud to donate to, PAWS (Pemberton Animal Wellbeing Society), Super Ty and Tia’s Toy Drive and the PORCA (Pemberton Off Road Cycling Association), to name a few.
The PORCA Toonie is a fun event that we look forward to sponsoring each year. The Toonies are a great way to ride the best trails in Pemberton and get social at the apres.
